The A470 at the Crimea Pass and the Horseshoe Pass was closed for a time after heavy snow fell and several football matches were cancelled Temperatures are set to plunge to minus seven overnight after snow and ice caused disruption on the roads and the closure of the Crimea Pass. A stretch of the A470 at the pass, near Blaenau Ffestiniog was closed overnight for a period and there were unconfirmed reports that some cars had to be abandoned after getting stuck in the snow while black ice warnings were installed on several Welsh roads.
