Wales & West Utilities yesterday began its three-week scheme which will see 63 metres of old pipe replaced with new plastic pipes in parts of Leg Street, Albion Hill and Beatrice Street, together with associated gas services. Project Manager, David Thomas, said the work is "essential" to make sure the area continues to have a safe and reliable gas supply for at least the next 80 years.
